Royal Bank’s new slogan “Choose a worthy cause, You”. At first i was insulted by my bank sticking this new ad campaign in my face. Like gamblers and drug addicts, i spent alot of money in my early 20′s (university), and now the very same people who’ve been holding my head underwater with massive debt are telling me that i truly am a charity case. Live in a cold climate, a common cityscape has tall buildings shooting steam up into the sky during extreme cold to vent pressure in their heating systems. Solutions? Build a green roof, seal the structure in for winter, and heat it with the excess steam during cold snaps. You could also process and feed the energy back into the building. Maybe have it turn a small generator that charges the boss’s laptop. (more…)
Well, its back to electricity again- my post during the blackout wouldn’t save for some reason? We were without power for 24hrs at a low temperature hitting -20C. Was there a terrible conspiracy here, it all sounds perfect right? Did an alien ship crash in the neighborhood? Movies rating systems don’t go far enough. “R” could mean just about anything imaginable might happen in the movie. Sure, you may get a somewhat obscured view of genitalia or the acting is unrealistic, or the injuries and violence seem fake, but narratively, the shocking event has occurred. You may not have seen it happen in real life, but it has been represented in your head. I look at a painting of my dentist, im gonna picture the real dude. One thing for sure about bloggering, what with the competition, new comers need a good strategy to bring people to their site. If you’ve got an audience already somewhere, use that to get going- hand out your web address at events, to clients and whatnot. Ok too obvious. They recently installed a new bottled water machine at work. $3 for water processed in Europe and shipped to Canada. Next to the vending machine, the other ughhh option, is a water fountain- free, but processed here in toronto and shipped across town. They’re selling the bottled water like crazy. (more…)
