Longest episode yet, a whole half hour! -if you can handle that much! 12hrs to do first render. 3 hours to export, 2 hours to upload, 2 hours for youtube to process it…This one had my mactop almost smoking, with need for several cool downs. Pet the cat, get a drink, back to editing. Other technical problems this time, hmmm. Spelled ‘develop’ wrong. Forgot colour correction on the far camera. I’d set out to do a full length documentary, but that is just too monumental a task….Besides, my skills reside in speed and efficiency. I have no relevant credentials to speak of, and i’m terrible with specifics, but i hope to bring you a wider perspective quickly and inspire further investigation. At least a dozen more of these are in the planning stages centering around money, property and wealth distribution. Hope you like it!
For most of my life i just assumed, as I’m sure most people do, that the money for a country is owned and printed by the government. Remember high school history class. The German government started recklessly printing cash after the war. Each individual bill became worth less, but the government was able to pay some expenses. A hyper inflation that devalued the currency so much people started trading money by the wheelbarrow. (more…)
There is no such thing as a “global recession”. A recession occurs when a country is having a tough time for some reason. They are loosing out to other countries in the world and have to deal with less. You know, people stopped liking our bananas for a while or something and our jerk neighbour who produces mangoes is flourishing. (more…)
Royal Bank’s new slogan “Choose a worthy cause, You”. At first i was insulted by my bank sticking this new ad campaign in my face. Like gamblers and drug addicts, i spent alot of money in my early 20′s (university), and now the very same people who’ve been holding my head underwater with massive debt are telling me that i truly am a charity case. Here he is talking about helping the poor and creating a better country and world, and these wealthy asshole investors pull their money out of the markets. “Helping the poor? whooa, count me out of that whole mess. I’m going to buy into gold or China instead”. These rich people don’t need to give a shit about the economy, no matter how bad it gets someone somewhere will keep producing Rolls-Royces and caviar.
