I’ve been getting into Twitter lately. Some real stupid comments on there, one guy made the claim that socialism plus time equals totalitarianism. . . .First of all, the two are incompatible; one can only exist at the exhaustion of the fundamentals of the other. Secondly, shit, name me a type of government that isn’t going to lead to totalitarianism with time. Capitalism’s certainly gone that route. If you have a boss, you are well aware that democracy doesn’t really happen in our day to day (more…)
Unlike the Mona Lisa, or ‘Good Day Sunshine’, companies are essentially just a collection of documents that pertain to each other and people following the instruction of those documents. A system in constant flux, much like human identities. (more…)
I’m going to get so many crap messages for posting that title. The spam bots hunt out words like “finance” and “investment” in bloggers tags and then plaster their inbox with promises of debt consolidated. Sorry already whittled myself down to a single overlord thankyou (more…)

Here’s a good question. Children obviously get a hold of batteries since they run so many toys. According to the battery makers, these things “may explode or leak”. If we were giving something this dangerous to children wouldn’t it need CSA, or ASA approval or something? Batteries don’t need the approval of a safety organization because they do not contain anything dangerous.
Repeatedly disposing of everyday alkaline batteries is completely unnecessary. Its a perfect example of misleading the public in the interests of profit. (more…)

The North American auto industry is collapsing, it seems as though no amount of propping up is going to help it re-claim its former glory. People will keep making cars here in Canada and the US, but on a much smaller scale. The big three are pleading with the public and the government to save them from disaster. Many people’s jobs and investments hang in the balance. Maybe this stems from (more…)
